During a non-DOT physical, our providers review the individual’s medical history, current medications, and relevant occupational exposures. We perform vital signs, cardiovascular, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, neurological exams, vision and hearing screens, and other assessments tailored to your industry (e.g. lung function, drug screening, etc.). If any issue is identified, we will refer for further workup or interventions.
We can also integrate job-specific evaluations — for example, physical capability testing, ergonomic risk assessments, or assessments for repetitive motion exposure. This ensures the physical is not just a general check but aligned with job demands, so your workforce is safe and capable of performing required tasks.
After the exam, we deliver a written report summarizing fitness status, restrictions (if needed), recommended accommodations, and follow-up plans. These reports are crafted to balance confidentiality with actionable guidance for your occupational health program.
Employers may use non-DOT physicals for roles such as industrial jobs, warehouse work, manufacturing, or any position where safe physical performance is essential. It also serves well for periodic re-examinations. Contact Nuvo Health to integrate non-DOT physicals into your occupational health regimen and maintain a healthy, capable workforce.
